“Frequently Asked Question!
“What Sets You Apart From Your Competition?”

There are a lot of great DJs and a lot of great wedding services is Minnesota and Wisconsin. What I typically say that people should be looking for in a DJ is somebody that compliments your personality.

One of the questions I always ask is “What are your expectations for your day?”

“What are you expecting?”

“What do you want?”

“What does your day look like?”

If you want somebody that’s just going to be quiet and play music, find somebody who’s quiet and will play music.

The four descriptors I use for what sets me apart are:

1) Professional
2) Fun
3) Outgoing
4) Tastefully Weird

1) Professional
I am the glue of the room!

I bring everything together, so I’m talking to your bartender. I’m talking to your other vendors (your photographer, florist, coordinators, venue manager, etc.)

I’m the guy with the microphone telling everybody:
-When the shuttle is coming
-When it’s last call or alcohol
-When it’s last call for photo booth
-When’s the first dance going to start?

That’s the Emcee part of my job.

2) Fun!

I have a few rules when it comes to music:
-NO JUDGMENTS about music or musical taste!

-Whichever song is playing IS MY FAVORITE SONG!
That’s the attitude you have to have going in, and that’s the attitude that I bring!

-Everyone has a Party inside of them!
You just have to figure out how to massage it out of them. I can get your grandma on the dance floor.

3) Outgoing
If you want me to, I can get involved.

Talking to guests is one of the best ways to get people to dance. If I can start a rapport with them during dinner, they become comfortable with me. I break that barrier. I talk to your grandma. I talk to your friends. I talk to the kids.

I get a feel of them and their personality. They’re going to feel a lot more comfortable coming to the dance floor.

No Judgments!

4) Tastefully Weird
I like to push boundaries. I like to push limits a little bit, but I do it tastefully.

I’m not going to weird anybody out.

I’m not going to push it in your face, but I’m going to try to get people a little bit out of their comfort zone in order to get them comfortable with each other.

Frequently Asked Questions:

“Do You Take Any Breaks?”

Not really, no.

There are times when I am less involved with what’s going on, and I have to take advantage of those times to us the restroom and get something to eat and drink.

That’s about a 3 to 5 minute break.

I’m pretty much working from the time I start your ceremony to the last song of the night.

Short answer is “No.”
